I remember being excited to see the first new snowfall on Grouse

was the name given by the Norse Vikings to the northern part of Newfoundland that was explored and briefly settled by them about 1000 AD at a location now know as L’ Anse aux Meadows

Its excitiing and wonderful to think that this body of water is connected to where you came from and now you are on the other side of the world experiencing their ocean with the same wonder and appreciation

Something different but brings back a mountain of memories for me
